Claudio V. Cerullo, Ph.D.
Dr. Cerullo earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Science Education. He then earned his master’s degree in professional Elementary and Secondary Education (with a concentration in Educational Administration) and second master’s in educational psychology. Dr. Claudio V. Cerullo earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership. He has continued his professional development, focusing on Educational Leadership and Urban Education, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion as well as School Climate, Culture and Safety with the Pennsylvania State University.
Dr. Cerullo currently sits on the Vice President of the United States Mental Health Cyber Harassment Task Force and was a guest at the White House as an expert panel member in school violence prevention. He sits on Harvard University’s task force on Teen Mental Health and the City of Camden, NJ, Municipal Task Force on Bullying and Violence Prevention.
He is the founder of Teachantibullying.org, a 501 C3 non-profit that is dedicated to working with educators, parents, students, law enforcement, and local governments nationwide on the bullying crisis in the classroom and our communities around the United States. Dr. Cerullo has written dozens of articles and books on bullying and school violence prevention. His new book entitled, “Inside the Mind of a Bullying: From Victim to Advocate” discusses bullying in schools and communities while providing in depth prevention and intervention measures for those in education, law enforcement, parents, and the mental health community at-large.
As Dr. Cerullo has received many honors and awards, the most notable were the Philadelphia 76ers with the Heroes Among Us Award. The Sixers’ “Heroes Among Us” awards people in the Greater Philadelphia area who have made exceptional and overwhelming contributions to better the lives of children in the community. Dr. Cerullo was awarded the Turn Around Principal of the Year Award by the Camden Board of Education, honored by the Pennsylvania State Legislature with the Outstanding Community Service Citation for his work to help develop safe schools. Dr. Cerullo was nominated for the Harold W. McGraw Jr. Prize in Education with the University of Pennsylvania, Graduate School of Education. Global Humanitarian Award, 1st Runner up for the “Community Hero Award”, presented by Citadel Bank, and City Council of Camden, NJ and the PA House of Representatives awarded him the Resolution for Anti Bullying Prevention. Dr. Claudio V. Cerullo and West Chester University also received the Outstanding Service Award in Urban Education from the School District of Philadelphia Board of Education. Lastly, he received the 2023 honor of Character Awareness and Leadership Engagement presented by CHARACTER.ORG.
ACCOMPLISHED AUTHOR
Dr. Claudio Cerullo has written dozens of articles on bullying prevention and has authored eight children’s books, one being an international best seller. His book titled My Name is David is specifically about a boy with Autism, who happens to be his son, and his unfortunate bullying just because he has ASD (autism spectrum disorder.) His book, It is Never Right to Fight is dedicated to all the families who lost loved ones to senseless forms of violence and half of all the proceeds are donated back to the specific families that lost a child to bullying-related incidents.
He has also authored a book for parents, "Teaching Anti-Bullying," which earned special notice from Sears and Team Up to Stop Bullying on their 2012 list of recommended bullying solutions books. He has contributed to educational videos on bullying, including “Bullying: Children with Special Needs” and "Teaching Anti-Bullying K-8." In addition, Dr. Claudio V. Cerullo co-authored with learning expert Pat Wyman, "Amazing Grades 101 Best Ways to Improve Your Grades Faster." Cerullo’s chapter is entitled "Bullying and How It Affects Academic Achievement."
Dr. Cerullo has also authored children’s books "A Thankful Day" (2009), "Isabella Goes to Kindergarten" (2010), "Isabella’s Rainy Day with her Friends" (2011) and "Isabella Goes Back to School" (2011). And, he continued with collaboration on "TAB 1.0," a new Bullying computer application for school students, parents, and teachers to use in their classrooms.
In 2005, Dr. Claudio V. Cerullo was invited to the White House as an expert panel member in the area of school violence prevention. He attended a second time in 2011.
In 2009, Dr. Claudio V. Cerullo partnered with Dr. John A. Williams, former Dean of Graduate Studies at Cheyney University, to create a Saturday Academic Academy based in Philadelphia. This Academy works with at-risk students to better prepare them for post-secondary education and to reduce the number of children dropping out before graduation.
Dr. Cerullo was asked to be the first keynote presenter at the State of Louisiana’s first Anti-Bullying Call to Action Conference in 2012, and was invited back to Baton Rouge in March of 2013 and October of 2013 for their anti-bullying summit. Since 2012, Dr. Cerullo has been asked to be the Keynote Speaker for six National educational/medical organizations and has keynoted the Cape May NJ Bullying and Domestic Violence Conferencein June, 2017.
AWARDS and CITATIONS

Most recently, Dr. Cerullo received an Anti-Bullying Citation Award from the Camden City Council and a Citation for Outstanding Service from the PA House of Representatives in May 2018 as well as the Goodwill Global Humanitarian Award in late summer 2018.
He is interviewed regularly by many local and national media outlets on the subject of Bullying and School Violence including ABC, NBC, Fox News, CBS. KYW and CNN News, as well as several radio and talk shows.
Dr. Claudio V. Cerullo and West Chester University received the Outstanding Service Award in Urban Education from the School District of Philadelphia Board of Education. As Director of the Delaware Mentoring Council, Dr. Cerullo partnered with Mayor James Baker of the City of Wilmington in establishing a new mentoring proclamation, the Wilmington Mentoring Commission, to help promote youth mentoring and lower the high school dropout rate to all at-risk youth within the City of Wilmington.
Dr. Cerullois an Associate Member of the Philadelphia Society of Clinical Psychologists and a member of the Association for Elementary and Secondary School Principals.Now, internationally recognized as an expert on the subject of Anti-Bullying and School Violence Prevention, Dr. Claudio V.
